My family and I have lived in Helena, Alabama for the past 4 years and in Alabama for the majority of our lives. Mental health has been something that has interested me for years and early on I decided to make it my choice of career. Over the course of my career I have spent time working with adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors in both individual and relational settings. I believe that our relationships with our families from a young age help shape the person we become later in life and when we face mental health issues it can be important to look back on our lives at different stages to help address those issues. In counseling we can bring others into our sessions or just use our relationship histories to determine best practice for addressing problem areas. Working using family systems models is one of the treatment modalities that I use with my clients among others.
I work with individuals, couples, and families and offer both virtual and limited in person sessions. My standard hours are afternoons and weekends, with some flexibility during the day.
