Relationship issues
Our relationships with others can have a large impact on our mental health. In therapy, we classify social support as being a positive indicator of your overall happiness. We all have needs in relationships, including a need for love and caring from others. In order to get our needs met, we first have to be able to communicate those needs in a way that makes others want to listen. Learning effective communication skills, is typically one of the first steps in addressing relationship problems, and getting our needs met. If you are in a relationship where you feel like you or your partner aren't getting the things you need from one another, maybe you just need help figuring out how to make those changes.
